Meet Our Physician

 

Neal Shirey, MD, an Interventional Radiologist and a native of Griffin GA, earned his medical degree from the Mercer University School of Medicine in Macon, GA. He furthered his training in Atlanta, GA at the Emory University School of Medicine, where he completed an Internal Medicine internship, Diagnostic Radiology residency, Musculoskeletal Radiology fellowship, and Vascular and Interventional Radiology fellowship.

Before returning to Griffin, Dr. Shirey served as the Chief of Radiology and the Chief of Interventional Radiology at St. Francis Hospital in Columbus, GA. While in Columbus, Dr. Shirey served as the Medical Advisor for the Columbus Technical College Diagnostic Medical Sonography program where he helped the school gain accreditation for the sonography program. Dr. Shirey was also a Senior Associate at the Emory University Department of Radiology.

Dr. Shirey is board certified in Diagnostic Radiology by the American Board of Radiology. He is also board certified in Vascular & Interventional Radiology and holds a Certificate of Added Qualifications (CAQ) in Vascular & Interventional Radiology from the American Board of Radiology. He is licensed by the Georgia State Board of Medical Examiners. His professional memberships include the Radiology Society of North America and Society of Interventional Radiology.
